The deadline for submitting artwork to be considered for the Northeast Calendar is fast approaching; September 10. The Northeast Community Development Corporation (NECDC) coordinates the Northeast Calendar, and is soliciting images that represent the 14 Northeast neighborhoods.
New guidelines this year: An image may represent a neighborhood simply due to the artist living or working in that neighborhood. It does not have to be a landmark. All mediums welcome. “We’re looking for active, colorful, beautiful and/or funny images that bring cheer and a feeling of togetherness, community.”
Independently juried images are awarded $200 each, $400 for the cover. The 2021 Northeast Calendar will be designed by graphic artist Leann Johnson.
