Nominated by one of her staff and two officers of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, Margo Ashmore of the Northeaster newspaper has been recognized by Editor & Publisher Magazine as one of “25 over 50.”
The award recognized a variety of older-than-50 innovators for their “strong work ethic, transformational mindsets, commitment to journalistic and publishing excellence, and their ability to lead during challenging times.” Common themes were optimism about the future and valuing the mentoring of the next generation.
One of the Northeaster’s innovations, initiated originally by former Arts District board member Betsy Gabler in 2016, is the partnership that brings 40,000+ readers the Arts Insights page in the Northeaster monthly. If you read both this e-newsletter and the Arts Insights page, you’ll see some content in common, but also some differences.
