The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District‘s website has a wonderful catalog of information about individual artists in the new Chroma exhibit at the MSP International Airport. But there’s nothing quite like seeing it accomplishing the exhibit’s original intent – to show a progression of colors, from the blues and purples eventually through a series of earth tones and red (or vice versa). If you’re traveling between now and December 2022 you can see it at MSP Terminal 1 along the Concourse C Art Gallery in five display cases tied together with graphics outlining the arts district – proportionally wider, of course, than the actual district.

Exhibit coordinator Mike Curran made this video of the finished display, taking advantage of the moving walkway that carries visitors by this area.

Raye Cordes, Kiesha Williams and Sheila Dickinson curated the exhibit. It is sponsored by Artspace, American Craft Council and the Harlan Boss Foundation for the Arts. Sixty artists based in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District have more than 80 total pieces in the show, which is part of the Airport Foundation’s Arts@MSP program.
