CALL FOR ARTISTS
SUBMIT IMAGES & ARTWORK
Deadline: September 1, 2026 at midnight
Email images to: calendar@northeastminneapolisartsdistrict.org
In the subject line, please include “Calendar” and your name as you would like it to appear if your work is chosen.
In the body of the email, please include the titles of the works submitted AND a brief statement about the image and its location in Northeast Minneapolis (if applicable).
There is no entry fee!
Printed calendars are free to the public and will be distributed through the advertisers and included artists in early December 2026.
IMAGE GUIDELINES
- Participants may submit a maximum of five images.
- Winning submissions from previous years are not eligible for re-submission.
- Any art medium is acceptable. Horizontal format images are preferred.
- Submissions must be sent as print-ready .jpg or .tiff images. Image files must be at least 3300×2500 pixels.
- The title of the work MUST be in the file name.
- If your image file exceeds 25MB, please submit multiple emails for subsequent image files.
- Images that include close-ups of individuals must include a note from the subject(s) granting permission for the use of their likeness. Crowd photos taken in public places do not require permission.
- Selection will be determined by independent jurors who are stakeholders in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District and by members of the Arts District board.
- More than one image per artist may be chosen IF one of the works is for the cover.
OWNERSHIP OF IMAGES
Artists retain rights to their images for future use and sale. By submitting images, the artist agrees to grant the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District rights for publication in the calendar as well as related materials, websites, and social media intended to promote the calendar and the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. Whenever possible, artists will be credited when their work is featured.
