This painting depicts my family’s first Christmas gathering at my grandparent’s house after the passing of my grandmother. It centers around loneliness, as this was painted from an image of the gathering posted online. I couldn’t make it, and my family picked the 5th as a day that most everyone could come. This painting was a way for me to be able to force my attendance on the rest of my family.
