The Minnesota State Arts Board (MSAB) has released its list of artists who received grants for the 2026 fiscal year under the Creative Support for Individuals grant category; A total of $2,084,165 was granted to 214 artists across Minnesota. Seven of those artists have ties to the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District and were awarded a total of $88,975. The grant amounts both in money and artists are down from 2025, when $3,552,128 were awarded to 364 artists across Minnesota. Twenty-three of those artists have ties to the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District and were awarded a total of $220,486.
Congratulations to this year’s grant winners with ties to the District include:
Hilary Greenstein, Jodi Reeb, Amy Rice, Nina Robinson, Asha Rowland, Ryan Stopera, and Suyao Tian.
The MSAB website says, “The Creative Support for Individuals grant is designed to help individual artists and culture bearers develop or sustain their creative practices and meaningfully engage with Minnesotans. Grantees may use funds to support their creative practice and meaningfully connect to and engage with audiences, participants, students and/or communities during the grant period.”
