The future of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District lives in understanding the environment that artists need to be successful. To do this we need to study who is here and what type of resources are available. What types of zoning are available or needed in the city-designated Northeast Minneapolis Arts District to grow to its full potential. With Artspace purchasing the Northrup King building complex late last year a plethora of opportunities and ideas are becoming apparent to build upon the campus that is the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District.
|
The future of the Arts community is in a new phase, on the way to becoming an international arts destination for artists to build large scale work, for lectures, workshops and to bring art enthusiasts, gallery directors and museum staff to visit art studios to collect art. By early fall we will have a lot of great information to share.
