The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District has been nominated for 4th time by the USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards. It is a month-long competition between us and 19 other arts districts. We won twice, in 2015 and 2022 and were runner up in 2021. We are seeking to defend our title in 2023!
|
Our strength and superpower has always been our 1200 + artists and community support. When we work together we achieve amazing results. NEMAA Art-A-Whirl® event, First Thursdays, Second Saturdays, Northrup King Nights and Fall open studio events are blueprints of our coming together for the greater good of the arts community.

The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District (NE-AD) is officially designated as an Arts District by the City of Minneapolis. NE-AD’s Board of Directors was established in 2014 and merged December 30, 2020 with Northeast Community Development Corporation.
