Northeast Minneapolis Arts District is on the cusp of seeking large funding for our initiative to preserve buildings for arts uses and attract more artists, arts businesses, and arts organizations to the District.

To succeed in the foundation/grant world, individual donors and other foundations are equally important to an organization’s balance of sources. Please come out and support Northeast Minneapolis Arts District on Give to the Max Day. Invest anything from the price of a coffee, on up – it all counts, and it’ll be matched, up to a cumulative $2,500, by eight Arts District building owners who’ve engaged to help it happen!

- Voted #1 Best Arts District by USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards
- Produced “Chroma: A Spectrum of Beauty” involving 59 artists with 81 pieces, viewed by 50,000+ travelers at MSP International Airport. Funded by Artspace, American Craft Council and Harlan Boss Foundation for the Arts.
- Continued to produce the Northeast Calendar, our monthly e-newsletters and the monthly Arts Insights pages in the Northeaster newspaper.
- Honed our message to developers about incorporating art into their projects.
- Raised funds through the Basement Speakeasy at Casket Arts in November.

- This year, we met with city council members and city staff toward better understanding of our goals and the city’s goal regarding arts, development and tools to preserve arts buildings. As a result, we are deeply concerned, strategically informed, and motivated to act.
