Dear reader,
In the months beginning with Art-A-Whirl® in May, there has been a huge outpouring of people out to see the world again. As November begins, Northeast will be filled with art enthusiasts coming to see what all of us have been making, catching up with their favorite artists and seeing what is new.

Eight art buildings opening from November 4th-6th hopefully will bring more rejuvenation to the arts community. Visit the NEMAA website and scroll down past the map to see individual event descriptions.
We’ve seen and featured public art and exhibits throughout the summer and early fall. Now it’s time for individual artists to shine in their studios. We look forward to hearing how the events go for the artists and the feedback from patrons of the arts.

Public Functionary inaugurates new gallery with annual group show

From before unseen space at the Northrup King complex has been fashioned a ramp-accessible gallery with a permanent but flexible lounge and hospitality area. Plywood protest boards continue in storage at NKB

Memorialize the Movement, while still looking for permanent space to display the plywood protest boards from the aftermath of George Floyd's murder, has moved to another storage space in the Northrup King Building. They were in the part of the building that will eventually be renovated for the six-story lofts.

The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District (NE-AD) is officially designated as an Arts District by the City of Minneapolis. NE-AD’s Board of Directors was established in 2014 and merged December 30, 2020 with Northeast Community Development Corporation.
