Dear reader,
As the end of the summer draws near, the crescendos of artist activities, opportunities, and accomplishments are high. From an Arts District artist having a top billing museum show, award winning artists featured at the Minnesota State Fair, to a very successful opening at the MSP Airport art show that brought city council, artists and airport officials together. The deadline is approaching on opportunities for artists to be paid for winning entries for the 2023 annual Northeast Calendar. The Northeast arts community is showcasing why it is the best in the country.

Artists celebrated at MSP International Airport

The Airport Foundation MSP and Arts@MSP hosted a lovely event for artists whose work is in the “Chroma: A Spectrum of Beauty” exhibit along Concourse C at the Minneapolis & Saint Paul International Airport Terminal 1. The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District (NE-AD) is officially designated as an Arts District by the City of Minneapolis. NE-AD’s Board of Directors was established in 2014 and merged December 30, 2020 with Northeast Community Development Corporation.
