Dear reader,
Happy summer, folks! “Sharpening” was a recent word of the evening, a tradition we observe at Arts District board meetings. Much is coming into focus, and doors are opening toward the goal of strengthening the district. We’ve sharpened our social media tools. We’re upping our YouTube channel use.

Solid partners and foundations are supporting the Airport Exhibit and general operating. We’ve placed our first of four ads in American Craft magazine to attract artists, arts organizations, and businesses to locate here, a free-market defense against erosion of the land resources that make this one of the top arts districts in the country.

Co-op mural will welcome all to the Arts District

Rich beautiful colors and engaging faces now introduce you to the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District at the corner of 26th and Central avenues NE. The works of Creatives After Curfew and Four Story Collective muralists are transforming the Eastside Food Co-op’s north wall. The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District (NE-AD) is officially designated as an Arts District by the City of Minneapolis. NE-AD’s Board of Directors was established in 2014 and merged December 30, 2020 with Northeast Community Development Corporation.
