It’s the time of year for reflection, giving thanks and looking ahead. In this e-newsletter are retrospectives of the Arts District’s year, thanks for recent fundraising, kudos to artists who’ve received special acclaim, more reflections on artists working on environmental messages, and a heads up that a new airport exhibit call for art will be coming. As you reflect on your year and future plans, consider how you volunteer and how to encourage others to do so. And pick up an old-fashioned printed calendar to keep track of all things to come!

Looking back to move forward
Looking back over the last two years the Arts District community celebrated a lot of accomplishments, collectively and for individuals, starting with winning back-to-back Best Arts District awards 2022-2023. Many artists were featured in museum shows around the country including the Whitney and Renwick and here in the Twin Cities at the Walker, MIA and Weisman including artist Piotr Szyhalski, …

A Year Focused on Art & the Environmentalist Cause

Within the Arts District, volunteer opportunities run from greeting or tabling at events to selling …

We are thankful for the people who used the Give to the Max Day GiveMN platform to contribute to the work of Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. We also heard from many who wanted to save the transaction fees and send us good old-fashioned checks. If you are motivated to do so, the address is Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, 2505 Howard …

New airport exhibit is on the runway
Our next airport exhibit is on the runway - figuratively, not literally. The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District is taxiing toward a new exhibit at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport, having applied to the Arts@MSP program and been accepted. There are no details at this point, but the call for artists will be developed. Artists who want to be notified …
