SECTION 1: Set Up a New Newsletter from the Template
Step 1: Log In
- Go to MailerLite and log in to your account.
Step 2: Duplicate the Newsletter Template
- Navigate to: Campaigns → Drafts
- Locate “Newsletter TEMPLATE 2025”
- To the right of the Edit you will see a dropdown arrow, click it to select Duplicate
Note: if you click the Edit button itself it open a new area and you will be overwriting the template…not good. - Using the dropdown arrow next to Edit of the copy, select rename.
- Change the copy to represent the month of your new newsletter and remove “Copy of.”
Important Setup Note
- Do not modify any other settings (for standard monthly newsletters).
- The delivery is pre-set to only one person as a safeguard against accidental mailing.
SECTION 2: Update the Newsletter Content
Once the structure is duplicated and renamed:
Step 1: Enter the Content Editor
- NOW, you can click the Edit button direct t enter the Edit Content area.
Step 2: Update Static Elements
- Change the Month, Year, and Issue Number
(Tip: Check the last issue for formatting consistency) - Update the Intro Text to reflect current themes or announcements.
Step 3: Update Each of the Six Featured Rows
🔍 Tip: You’ll spend most of your time here updating content.
Each row includes a Title, Image, Blurb, and a “Read more…” link. For each:
- Replace the placeholder title with the new article title.
- Upload the corresponding image.
- Paste the blurb text.
- Link the “Read more…” button to the full article or relevant page.
🔍 Tip: Finalize the article order and blurb texts before editing. Refer to the article’s “Post” structure for guidance.
SECTION 3: Final Checks and Sending a Test
Step 1: Review and Test
- After editing, click Preview to review the layout.
- Send a test email to yourself and others for proofreading.
Step 2: Change the Recipient of Campaign
- Click the Overview button next to the current newsletter
- Remover the radio button from Remo Campopiano
- Put it in Arts District News
Step 2: Schedule or Send
- Only when you’re fully satisfied with the content, proceed to schedule or send the newsletter.
