Our next airport exhibit is on the runway – figuratively, not literally. The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District is taxiing toward a new exhibit at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport, having applied to the Arts@MSP program and been accepted. There are no details at this point, but the call for artists will be developed. Artists who want to be notified of the opportunity should subscribe to the monthly e-newsletter at northeastminneapolisartsdistrict.org.

Here are links to information about and images from past exhibits at the airport.

The “Chroma” exhibit was especially prominent. It offered an opportunity for artists to gather for a reception in 2022 shortly after the first recent Best Arts District award was announced. Several pieces sold out of that exhibit and/or led to contacts with the artists for future work. The airport foundation provided us with statistics on the thousands of people who viewed the exhibit with more than a passing glance.

We look forward to the next iteration.
