Vector/Sector: A Dispositif in Field, Studio, & Gallery by Pete Driessen on view at NE SCULPTURE I Gallery Factory
NE SCULPTURE I Gallery Factory is delighted to present Vector/Sector: A Dispositif in Field, Studio, & Gallery, a solo sculptural exhibition of new site and process-based works by Minneapolis visual artist Pete Driessen. The exhibition is Driessen’s first solo exhibit with the gallery and runs in sequence with his new mixed media sculpture, Joe’s Auto Parts, also a first within NE Minneapolis.
Vector/Sector will be on view through December 13 in the gallery, the sculpture quad, and the artists studio at the Casket Arts Campus, NE Minneapolis location, with hours Thursday-Saturday 12-5 & by appointment.
A Pheasant Café Artist Talk with independent curator Sheila Dickinson will happen on December 6, 3-4 pm; and a closing with the artist on December 13, 3-4 pm.

Hello Sculptors, Muralists and Public Art Artists, John Hock of NE SCULPTURE|Gallery Factory is hosting Josh Blanc and Seth Statmiller, the Art Walk committee for the Arts District, for an information and listening session on Thursday, December 4th. We will be discussing the developing Central Avenue Art Walk, Barrel Boy, and the placement of more public art throughout the Arts District. We invite you to join the discussion. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.
The Fall by Edgar Arceneaux at Dreamsong Gallery Now – December 20, 2025
Dreamsong is pleased to present The Fall, the gallery’s inaugural solo presentation with Los Angeles-based artist Edgar Arceneaux. The culmination of two years of maintaining a Minneapolis studio at MCAD as part of a collaborative residency organized by the Walker Art Center, The Fall features paintings from the artist’s Skinning the Mirror series that draw conceptual and material inspiration from Minnesota’s seasonal ecologies. Underpinning the Minneapolis paintings is a rigorous practice spanning over twenty years that explores race and collective memory by interrogating American historical narratives and probing their gaps, failures and omissions.

B. Ingrid Olson A Masculine Thought – Now – Feb 7, 2026 at Midway Contemporary Art
B. Ingrid Olson lives and works in Chicago. Her work has been presented in recent solo exhibitions at Kunstverein Braunschweig, Germany; The Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University; and Secession, Vienna. Olson’s work has also been included in group exhibitions at institutions including The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Jeu de Paume, Paris, France; The Museum of Contemporary, Chicago; Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; Henie-Onstad Kunstsenter, Høvikodden; Aspen Art Museum, Aspen; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; and The Renaissance Society at The University of Chicago. Olson is the recipient of a 2025 Guggenheim Fellowship.

Arts District Job Opportunities
The Arts District is looking to fill a few positions for the upcoming year.
- A graphic designer is needed for a range of projects. Postcard and poster designs, graphics for the website and print opportunities. Must know photoshop, Illustrator and be able to meet deadlines $25 per hour
- The Northeast Calendar is looking for an editor and writer to take over the duties of the calendar. They would work with the Arts District graphic designer and sales of advertising for the calendar to put together the 2027 calendar.
- PR person – We are in need of an individual to develop our PR for the Arts District, including press releases, Posts of events, calendars, media relationships etc.
Interested in Archiving?
The Arts District is in process of digitizing Artpaper, a monthly art publication documenting Minneapolis arts scene from 1982 – 1993. We are looking for a volunteer to work alongside staff at the University of Minnesota Libraries to assist with Artpaper metadata. This is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about art history, archiving or digital preservation.
