An pencil drawing of a modern day femme fatale derives characteristics from the Greek mythology tale of the monstrous Gorgon sister, Medusa. Enclosed with multi-layered glass borders, this imitates a metaphorical experience of being turned into stone upon observing her beauty through eye contact.
Taji is a native of Northside Minneapolis, having graduated from Augsburg University with a BFA in Studio Art. His distinctive art style is emphasized by a mixture of traditional pencil drawings and mixed media with a fondness of focal points, jagged edges, and repetitive patterns. Blending these unconventional materials and natural resources together through a nuanced method of repurposing.
