Evocative of the Hamm’s Beer advertising campaigns of the 1950’s, “In the Land of Sky Blue Waters” is a playful look back into Minnesota’s beer brewing history. The painting centers on the city of St. Paul and two of it’s most prominent brewers: Hamm’s and Schmidt’s and their intertwined past.
