About the Image:
Sometimes the things that land in my studio all at the same time seem to just coalesce to become something completely new. This creature seems to have all sorts of handy powers like a long neck and even a broken Rubik’s cube in his “cabinet”. Even his wings are made of keys! Hangs with one nail, not particularly heavy.
About the Artist:
Layl McDill grew up in Gillette, Wyoming where she began creating at a very young age. Layl received her BFA in Illustration from the Columbus College of Art Design but she found it more exciting to make sculptural work and sell it through galleries and art fairs. She has exhibited her work around the country since 1994.
