About the Image:
This piece represents the hills of Scotland as seen from my friend’s house near Edinburgh. The geometric lines and linen patches are my way of depicting our world of multi-dimensions.
About the Artist:
Carmen Gutiérrez-Bolger immigrated to southern Florida from Cuba when she was 5 years old and identifies as a spanglish visual artist. She has worked in her studio in the Casket Arts Building for the past 14 years and recently moved to the district. Carmen served on the board of directors of Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association for four years and is a past-president of the organization.
