Water Garden Night is about our connection to bodies of water, especially the more intimate lakes, ponds, and rivers we come to know and love. Deep blues, greens, and stabs of red energize the surface, evocative of water and plants stirring near the water’s edge.
Allison Johanson is a contemporary painter from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her abstracted artworks are rooted in the natural world, and are influenced by Minnesota land and waterscapes, as well as shared “interior landscapes.”
Allison values community and collaborating with other artists. She creates her art in her Northeast Minneapolis studio, located in the the historic Northrup King Building.
