Connections: Artwork from the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District

Building on the success of previous years’ exhibitions at the MSP Airport, the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District is once again excited to invite artists to submit their work for consideration in this juried exhibition. We hope to highlight the many artists working across varied disciplines throughout the district, and intend to showcase works that represent a range of aesthetics, styles, and forms. For that reason, we have selected Connections: Artwork from the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District as this year’s theme. As many as 80 artists will be selected to display their work as part of the final exhibition.

DESCRIPTION OF EXHIBITION SPACE

The exhibition will take place in the Thomson Reuters Concourse C Art Gallery, which encompasses five large display cases. Works can be placed on pedestals or hung from the wall. Display cases range in size from 192″ (width) x 81″ (height) x 27″ (depth) to 438″ x 93″’ x 45″. Below is an example of display cases from a previous exhibition:

CURATORS

An outside panel of three artists and arts professionals based in Arts District will review all submitted works and design the exhibitions. This year’s guest curators are Gordon Coons, Silent Fox, and Karlee Holets.
