Would you like to visit your favorite Northeast businesses and see your art hanging on their walls? It could happen – if you enter the competition for the 13 months plus the cover of the Northeast Calendar.
Over the years, the calendar has featured a wide variety of images representing aspects of the community – from obscure niches to obvious landmarks, the literal to the fantastical. Even the seasons have been portrayed in widely different moods. Leaves of autumn might be joyous or borderline somber, the snow of December a welcome annoyance or a beautiful scene.
A panel of judges, different people from past years and not announced in advance, will choose images from what is typically a field of 100 or more. Submitters range from professionals to amateurs, all anonymized. The judges interact with each other and the images to arrive at a curated collection that continues to amaze. The popular calendars are available free to the public in December 2023 for 2024.
