Dyani White Hawk is in demand

Dyani White Hawk is reaching a new echelon in the art world.

Ben Davis writing for ArtNet wrote a story on “Which artists are everywhere in the U.S. Museums?” He sifted through 200 hundred museums shows to discover the artists who are being featured. She is in good company with the list generated. Some established names Ed Ruscha and Jenny Holzer but most up in coming that have regular shows in museums. Davis says What do the results suggest about the curatorial zeitgeist? Museums right now continue to be very focused on elevating minority voices—this is probably the central theme here.

If you have been visiting to museums over the past year you might notice a breath of fresh art that is showing new works by artists rarely seen in such hallowed walls. We are glad to see museums start featuring a larger swath of artists and their perspectives on society and culture. We here in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District love to see our artist receive the notice and attention they deserve.
